14 de Octubre. Nara, mensajeros de los dioses y galletitas para ciervos

Me he levantado temprano, hoy voy a Nara, espero el autobús en la pequeña estación de autobuses que me lleva hasta la estación del tren. Cuando llega mi tren me encuentro una sorpresa. Hay un vagón con asientos de Panda. Es increíble, me siento en uno y es blandito.

Resulta que en Shirahama han nacido dos pandas (panda-tweens) y este mes toca bautizarlos, así que si de normal los japoneses ya son bastante panda-amorosos, pues ahora con más motivo.

Llego a Nara sin dificultad, el hotel está muy cerca de la estación. Se llama Guest House Nara Komanachi. Un albergue pequeño pero muy moderno, muy nuevo muy limpio y acogedor. A pesar de que esa noche me tocaba una habitación compartida de 4 personas solo estamos una chica japonesa y yo.

Cojo la cámara y decido ir hasta el Nara-koen, un parque muy grande que hay cerca y donde se encuentran en libertad gran cantidad de ciervos y la mayoría de monumentos y cosas interesantes de Nara. En la entrada del parque compro unas galletitas para los ciervos (150 Yenes), lo cierto es que luego compruebo que en todas partes valen lo mismo.

Decido ir en busca de los ciervos (aquí son considerados como los mensajeros de los dioses), así que su presencia es bienvenida. Hay ciervos por todos lados, les doy galletas y enseguida se me acercan un montón de ciervos de todos los tamaños. Hay uno que me muerde varias veces para que le de más galletas, hasta que se me acaban.

Decido irme de allí antes de que me sigan acosando, y caminando por el parque me encuentro varios monumentos interesantes que visitar.

Al cabo de un rato me doy cuenta que allí hay manadas de ciervos, colegiales y jubilados japoneses. A medida que voy avanzando me doy cuenta de lo de siempre: siempre hay un grupo muy numeroso de turistas y colegiales/jubilados en los primeros monumentos, pero apenas casi nadie en los que quedan más alejados.

En uno de los templos encuentro una pareja que se está haciendo las fotos de la boda rodeados de ciervos.

Se hace de noche, así que voy hacia el hotel, me como unas gyozas y a dormir.


October 14. Nara, messengers of the gods and cookies for deer.

After a while I realize that there are herds of deer, schoolboys and Japanese retirees. As I progress, I realize, as usual there is always a large group of tourists and college / retired in the early monuments, but just about anyone in the farthest left.

In one of the temples find a partner who is taking pictures of the wedding surrounded by deer. It gets dark, so I go to the hotel, I eat gyozas and sleep.
