Hoy no llueve, al menos de momento, voy a la estación de Kanazawa para coger el tren. Mientras espero en una plaza y veo a varios homeless que me miran mientras desayuno algo. Me saludan al estilo militar (deben de pensar que soy americana). Me empiezan a preguntar cosas, pero entre el ruido de la calle, y que están al otro lado de la fuente, no los entiendo. Uno de ellos me empieza a hacer señales y me pregunta de donde soy; le digo que de España, sonríe y me pregunta: Madrid? Y yo, no, de Barcelona…se miran entre ellos y sonríen.
Llego a Osaka, ciertamente como dice la guía: la hermana pequeña y caótica de Tokio. Incluso algo desordenado y sucio, el aspecto de la gente es más desaliñado. Voy al hotel y se nota otro tipo de barrio diferente, más humilde y con apenas encanto.
Dejo las maletas en el Hotel Tayio (olvidable y poco recomendable, ya que la habitación es muy pequeña, pero muy, muy económico.
Decido ir al Umeda Sky Building, es un edificio bonito, por su arquitectura, pero tampoco tiene nada de extraordinario si es que no subes hasta su azotea. En el sótano han recreado una calle de la época Edo con restaurantes y decido quedarme a comer allí.
Luego me voy al castillo de Osaka, parece que va a llover, el cielo está muy oscuro, y no se si llegaré a tiempo antes de que anochezca, voy cruzando diferentes puertas y fosos mientras cada vez el castillo va impresionando más y más. Parece que al final se aclara el día y el sol m e ofrece una buena imagen del castillo, iluminado por sus rayos.
Cuando salgo del castillo, en la explanada que hay debajo hay unos chicos jugando al hockey-bici, una nueva modalidad de deporte callejero.
Después del castillo me dirijo hacia la zona Den Den, una zona de ocio próxima a mi hotel, se ve algo anticuado aunque interesante ya que recuerda a la ciudad de Blade Runner con luces de neon y puestos callejeros.
Voy al hotel, me doy un baño japonés y en la TV están dando Indiana Jones, decido verla hasta que me quedo dormida.
October 10. Osaka or lawless city
Today no rain, at least for now, I go to Kanazawa station to catch the train. While waiting in a place and I see many homeless breakfast while I watch something. I salute the military style (must think I'm an American). I begin to ask questions, but the noise of the street, and on the other side of the source, do not understand. One of them begins to do signs and asking me where I am, I say that of Spain, smiles and asks: Madrid? And I, no, of Barcelona ... at each other and smile.
I get to Osaka, certainly as the guide says: the little sister and chaos of Tokyo. Even something messy and dirty, the people look more disheveled. I go to the hotel and it shows another type of neighborhood different, more humble and little charm.
I leave the luggage at the Hotel Taji (forgettable and not recommended, since the room is very small.I decide to go to the Umeda Sky Building is a beautiful building, its architecture, but neither is nothing unusual if not climb to its roof. The basement has recreated a street in the Edo period with restaurants and decided to stay and eat there.
Then I go to the Osaka's Castle, it seems it will rain, the sky is very dark, and if it's not long before dark, I'm going across different gates and trenches while the castle is becoming more and more impressed. It seems clear tha eventually the day and the sun gives me a good image of the castle, lit by lightning.
When I leave the castle, on the esplanade below are some guys playing hockey-bike, a new form of street sport.
After the castle I head for the Den Den area, an entertainment area next to muy hotel, is somewhat dates but interesting because it remins the city of Blade Runnere with neon ligths and street stalls.
I go to the hotel, I take a japanese bath and TV are giving Indiana Jones II, I decided to see it until i fall asleep.
